The floods swept through northern Nepal on Wednesday morning after the Bhote Koshi River surged, reportedly from the direction of Tibet. Timure in Rasuwa district and nearby Syafrubesi suffered extensive damage, with vehicles, goods and other property washed away.Nepal authorities placed several downstream districts on high alert and urged people living near river banks to take precautions.The Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police have been deployed for rescue operations, while army helicopters have been sent to affected areas.
