Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been charged with misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor criminal damage to property, according to Wisconsin court records. Jacobs was arrested in late May and booked on several suggested charges (domestic abuse, criminal damage to property), domestic abuse, disorderly conduct (domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation) and intimidation of a victim. However, at that time the Brown County District Attorney announced that they had not yet decided to file formal charges. That changed Thursday when the two misdemeanor charges were filed. Jacobs also issued a statement through his lawyers at the time saying he "vehemently denies the allegations." Jacobs, a first-team All-Pro selection in 2022 as a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, has been the Packers' leading rusher the past two seasons. He has played in all but two games since he signed with the Packers and has rushed for 2,258 yards and 28 touchdowns in those 32 games.
