Boy, 17, dies in motorcycle crash as heartbroken parents pay tribute Kayden Thompson, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene of a motorcycle crash near Pennan, Scotland, with an investigation into the collision underway The family of a 17-year-old boy who died in a devastating motorcycle crash in Scotland have paid tribute to the "deeply loved" teenager. Kayden Thompson was travelling on the B9031, Macduff to Fraserburgh road - a scenic rural highway along the north coast of Buchan, Aberdeenshire - when he crashed near Pennan at around 5.30pm on Monday. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Paying tribute to the teenager, Kayden's heartbroken family said: "We are devastated at the loss of our deeply loved son, brother, grandson and nephew, Kayden." The statement, issued via Police Scotland, added: "He will be missed by all who knew him, especially family. "Kayden, also known as Kayda and K: forever 17 and forever Dawn and Alan's little boy." An investigation into the single-vehicle crash, which involved a black Honda CB500, is underway. Police have appealed for witnesses, or anyone with information about the crash, to contact them. Detectives say they are especially keen to hear from those who have any dash-cam footage of the incident. Sergeant Pete Henderson said: "Our thoughts are with Kayden's family and friends at this very difficult time. Our inquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened. "I'd like to thank everyone who has come forward with information so far. Your assistance is appreciated. "If anyone else has information and has yet to come forward, I’d ask them to please do so.
