The Ryanair passenger aircraft was met by paramedics on the tarmac on Tuesday afternoon after the flight crew signalled an in-flight emergency. Flight FR6123 was making its way from Gdansk to the Scottish capital when the aircrew called ahead as a precaution when a passenger fell ill onboard. The plane landed around 5pm, after squawking a 7700 code - signalling a general emergency onboard Edinburgh Live reported. The pilot declared the emergency during the descent into Edinburgh and the passenger was disembarked from the aircraft and met by medics upon landing. A Ryanair spokesperson said: “Flight FR6123 from Gdansk to Edinburgh (1 Sept) called ahead as a precaution before landing at Edinburgh Airport after a passenger became ill on board. "Crew called ahead for medical assistance to meet the aircraft upon landing at Edinburgh Airport. The passenger was disembarked and was met by medics.”
