New Lidl £5 'atmospheric' light similar to £33 Next version coming out Thursday Shoppers will be able to buy a similar budget-friendly option at Lidl next week in its famous Middle Aisle Lidl is bringing out a new homeware item next week that may be of interest not only to fans of autumn but also to anyone trying to stick to a budget. The supermarket regularly updates its famous Middle Aisle with various Special Buy offers, with new products arriving in stores across the UK every Thursday and Sunday. Coming out next Thursday, September 10, is a decorative autumnal light that could rival a pricier version on sale at Next. Shoppers will soon be able to get their hands on a Light-Up Decorative Pumpkin from Lidl's Livarno line for £4.99. The light features a pumpkin-shaped design, with fairy lights inside and a copper crackle effect on the outside. The light is small enough to be kept on a bedside table, coffee table or potentially a shelf. In the product description, Lidl says: "Atmospheric lighting. Made from high-quality glass with warm white light. Six-hour timer with automatic daily repetition. Simply switch on at the desired time of day and start the timer. With long-life and energy-saving LEDs. Batteries included." Lidl's £4.99 Light-Up Decorative Pumpkin could be a budget-friendly alternative for anyone who likes the look of Next's £33 Lights4fun Multicoloured Amber Mercury Glass Light Up Pumpkin Decoration, but is keen to keep spending to a minimum. Next's option features a similar pumpkin-shaped design, with a copper crackle effect on the outside and fairy lights inside. On Next's website, the product description reads: "Handcrafted from glass with a mottled mercury effect finish, this amber pumpkin decoration is a showstopping centrepiece for your table this autumn! Its whimsical swirly stalk is guaranteed to add a touch of fun to your décor. "This glass pumpkin will create a shimmering glow throughout the day and a warming ambience when it illuminates in the evening. Although both Next and Lild's versions share similar features, there are still some differences. Besides the price of each, Next's light-up pumpkin has a twisted stem, while Lidl's is straight - so it is down to shoppers to decide which design they prefer. However, for shoppers who like the twisted-stem design, Lidl is selling a different light-up pumpkin that features exactly that. Its Light-Up Decorative Pumpkin With A Curly Stem is also coming out next Thursday for £4.99. Two other pumpkin-shaped lights will be landing in stores next Thursday, too. These include the £4.99 Tall Light-Up Decorative Pumpkin and the dark brown Light-Up Decorative Pumpkin for the same price. All Special Buy offers can be viewed on Lidl's website in advance. But stock can only be purchased in stores, and, as Lidl says, once it's gone, it's gone.
