Humberside Police said they received reports of a car being stolen on Byron Grove in Grimsby at around 1pm on Wednesday, September 2. Two police officers were taken to hospital following the collision. A teenager has since been charged with several offences and remanded in secure accommodation. "At around 1pm officers received reports of a car being stolen resulting in a pursuit," a Humberside Police spokesperson said. "The car then allegedly collided with a marked police vehicle, resulting in both vehicles coming to a stop and two officers being taken to hospital to receive treatment to injuries." The 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with ten offences, reports Grimsby Live. This includes dangerous driving, possession of a class C drug, theft, two counts of driving without a licence, two counts of driving without insurance and making off without payment. The boy is also charged with taking a motor vehicle, possession of a class B drug, aggravated vehicle taking and driving a vehicle without the owner's consent. He has been remanded into secure accommodation to appear at court at a later date.
