Eoin Doyle was involved in the collision at a level crossing in Kiltybo, near Ballyhaunis in Mayo, Ireland, on Thursday evening (September 3). Emergency services raced to the location shortly after 8.45pm, however, the youngster was pronounced dead at the scene. A man in his late 40s was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Tributes have since poured in for Eoin following the tragedy. His death notice read: "The death has occurred of Eoin Doyle, Gurrane, Ballyhaunis- tragically following an accident on 3rd September 2026. "Deeply regretted by his heartbroken parents Declan and Elaine (née Corcoran) and his twin sister Saoirse, step-brother Conor, grandparents Pat and Marguerite Doyle and Ger and Mary Corcoran, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends." Eoin's funeral will take place on September 8 at St. Patrick's Church in Cloonfad before a burial at Ballyhaunis Cemetery. This is a Breaking News story.
