Two primary school children injured after being thrown from bouncy castle in Australia Two children have been injured playing on a bouncy castle after they were thrown into the air when it became airborne by a strong gust of wind in Geelong, Australia Two children of primary school age have been rushed to hospital after a bouncy castle was reportedly lifted into the air by a strong gust of wind. The terrifying incident happened at a home on Lower Duneed Road in Mount Duneed, Geelong, just before 11am on Saturday September 5. Victoria Police have confirmed several children were on the bouncy castle at the time of the incident but they escaped injury. A police spokesperson said: "Two children have been injured after a jumping castle was lifted into the air during high winds in Mount Duneed on 5 September. "The incident occurred during a children’s party at a Lower Duneed Road residential address shortly before 11am. "Two children were thrown from the jumping castle and taken to hospital by road. A large number of other children also playing on the jumping castle at the time escaped injury." Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedic crews were dispatched to treat the injured children at the scene before they were taken to University Hospital Geelong in a stable condition. An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said: "Ambulance Victoria responded to reports of an incident in Mount Duneed at about 10.55am today (5 September). "Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance (MICA) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedic crews attended the scene. "Two primary school aged children have been transported to Geelong University Hospital by road ambulance with upper body injuries in a stable condition." This is a Breaking News story.
