Police officers were called to the building in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 2, after receiving a "concern for welfare" call. Officers discovered the body of a man in his 50s who they believe died a number of days before he was found. A forensic postmortem examination took place on Thursday, September 3, at Leicester Royal Infirmary and police then launched a murder investigation. Detectives from the East Midlands Special Operations Unit are leading the investigation.
