Trending rumors
- Liverpool could make another move for Crystal Palace forward Ismaïla Sarr in January after failing to sign him before the summer deadline, according to Football Insider. The Senegal international remains keen on joining Liverpool despite Palace blocking his proposed departure late in the window. Sarr is expected to remain on Liverpool's radar, although their plans could change depending on Cody Gakpo's situation after his potential move to Manchester City collapsed.
- Richarlison could now look to the Saudi Pro League for a move away from Tottenham Hotspur after a proposed switch to Turkish side Trabzonspor fell through, reports the London Evening Standard. The Brazil international has asked to leave Spurs and was omitted from their Premier League squad, but the Turkish transfer window closed without a deal being completed. Saudi Arabia remains a possible destination, while clubs in Portugal, Brazil and Mexico can also still sign players. Tottenham may consider terminating Richarlison's contract if no transfer materialises.
- Arsenal made an enquiry about Brentford winger Kevin Schade during the summer transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. The German international emerged as a potential option for the Gunners as they looked to strengthen their attack, but Brentford refused to engage in talks. The Bees reportedly would not have considered even a club-record offer exceeding the £70 million received for Bryan Mbeumo, prompting Arsenal to turn their attention to other targets. Bayern Munich are also admirers of the 24-year-old.
- Lyon explored a sensational swoop for Karim Benzema during the summer transfer window, L'Équipe has revealed. The 38-year-old was enthusiastic about returning to his boyhood club for one season and was even prepared to play without a salary. However, Benzema's contractual commitments as an ambassador for the Saudi Pro League until 2030 prevented the switch. The former Real Madrid striker is now a free agent after leaving Al Hilal, with retirement becoming an increasingly likely option.
- Bayern Munich are in talks with several SPL clubs over a potential transfer for Sacha Boey, according to German reporter Christian Falk. The 25-year-old right-back is open to a move to Saudi Arabia, with its transfer window still open. Bayern are looking to offload Boey after a proposed deadline-day move to Everton collapsed, although sporting director Christoph Freund has indicated the Frenchman will be reintegrated into the squad if no deal materialises.
