Liam Lawson will replace Hadjar for a third successive race as Max Verstappen's team-mate at Red Bull, while Yuki Tsunoda continues at Racing Bulls. "The decision has been taken as Isack's recovery continues to progress positively. While he is not yet ready to return to the cockpit, he will be in Madrid supporting the team. "Everyone at Red Bull Racing looks forward to welcoming Isack back behind the wheel very soon." Lawson impressively qualified only one tenth behind Verstappen at Zandvoort and finished the Dutch Grand Prix in seventh - a complete contrast to his two Red Bull outings at the start of 2025 before he was dropped. But, he went out in Q2 at Monza, partly due to being impeded by Oscar Piastri on his best lap. In the race, he started from the pit lane due to engine penalties but made contact with Audi's Nico Hulkenberg at an early standing start restart, so had to change his front wing and recovered to 14th, while Verstappen was on the podium. Tsunoda has enjoyed two strong weekends at Racing Bulls as he's not been far off the pace of team-mate Arvid Lindblad, scoring points in Monza. The 26-year-old, who was dropped by Red Bull last season, is hoping his performances can get him back onto the grid in 2027. "I'm free! Would love to hear those calls, but not yet," he said. "It's good that things are going positive, at least. Obviously, my primary target is to be in Formula 1. Let's see. In this world anything can happen.
