Firefighters from the city were working at the a 17-hectare property and the operation involves 16 Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) mobile units. The hospital has almost 1,500 beds for and 37 assistance services. In May 2024, a fire broke out at the same hospital. Flames spread through the second-floor attic, causing part of the structure to collapse, according to reports. Sixty-six patients were evacuated in the incident.
