Dubai launches Agentic AI training drive for 14,000 businesses

Dubai is training more than 14,000 businesses to use AI that doesn't just answer – it acts without being asked. The initiative, launched by Dubai Chambers, is training private-sector companies to move beyond AI tools that simply respond to prompts and towards systems that can carry out tasks and make decisions with limited human input. Aimed at member companies of Dubai Chambers’ Business Groups and Business Councils, the initiative will be delivered through the newly launched Dubai Chambers Academy, an integrated e-learning platform offering specialised Agentic AI training tracks alongside other programmes for the private sector. It forms part of Dubai’s wider push to transition businesses towards Agentic AI under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. The Dubai Chambers Academy was launched on 1 September in the presence of H.E. Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and 90 chairpersons of Business Groups and Business Councils. “The programme to transition the private sector towards Agentic AI reflects Dubai’s commitment to advancing the vision of its leadership by preparing the business community to adopt advanced technologies and use them effectively to create sustainable value,” says Al Mansoori. “This will strengthen companies’ competitiveness and their ability to innovate and grow in the economy of the future.” Turning AI potential into practice Participants will explore the latest Agentic AI tools and solutions, learning how to use them to streamline operations, boost productivity and efficiency, and support quicker, smarter decision-making. The training will also examine practical approaches to adoption, helping companies identify where the technology could have the greatest impact across their operations. “Agentic AI is opening up new possibilities for the way companies operate. It can help manage complex tasks, enable more effective decision-making, enhance productivity and create new opportunities for growth,” adds Al Mansoori. “Through these specialised training tracks, we aim to equip the private sector with the capabilities and expertise needed to understand Agentic AI and translate its potential into practical applications.” Building a bigger Agentic AI ecosystem The training tracks form part of a wider programme to transition Dubai’s private sector towards Agentic AI. Other initiatives include establishing incubators for Agentic AI companies that support Dubai’s transition, supporting companies specialising in the development and deployment of Agentic AI solutions, and promoting knowledge-sharing and capacity-building within Dubai Chambers. Together, these efforts are designed to strengthen private-sector competitiveness and reinforce Dubai’s leadership in adopting future technologies. The launch follows Dubai Chambers’ formation of the Executive Committee for Agentic AI. The committee was established to accelerate the adoption of Agentic AI across the private sector, prepare the business community for global technological shifts, enable companies to benefit from advanced AI solutions, and reinforce Dubai’s position as a global hub for the digital economy and future industries. Business Groups and Business Councils play an important role in supporting Dubai’s commercial and economic growth by ensuring that different sectors are represented and providing a platform for constructive dialogue between the business community and relevant government entities. They also contribute to efforts to enhance the business environment and promote sustainable economic growth in the emirate.
