NTAs 2026 stars arrive on red carpet as livestream plagued with technical issues The National Television Awards bring together the great and good of the TV world as the stars go head to head in categories like Best Reality Documentary, Best TV Presenter and Best Comedy The National Television Awards are back this year - with a brand new prize on offer. Joel Dommett is hosting proceedings from London's O2 Arena this evening, as the stars battle it out to take home prizes in categories including Best Presenter, Best Soap, Best Authored Documentary and BestComdy. There is also a new category this year, Best Reality Documentary, which will see celebrity-led shows - At Home With The Furys, Clarkson’s Farm and Stacey & Joe go head-to-head for the inaugural award alongside Fletchers’ Family Farm, fronted by Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing. Other categories include factual entertainment, daytime, talent show, returning drama and The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award – with the latter seeing Gladiators go head to head with the likes of The Masked Singer, The Graham Norton Show, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show and Would I Lie To You? Kaleb Cooper has given an update after 11 sheep were stolen, revealing police are currently checking CCTV in an attempt to track down those responsible.He told The Mirror at the NTAs: "We had 11 sheep stolen. It’s in the police’s hands now, so we’re just waiting to hear back from their investigation. "But it’s going to be incredibly hard to track down because, of course, it’s been so dry this year, so we can’t find tracks, you know? They’re checking all the cameras in the local area at the moment to see if they can track it back.”The Clarkson’s Farm star said that while sheep theft was not something he heard about particularly often, its impact on farmers could be devastating."I wouldn’t say it happens a lot. I think it happens, but you don’t hear of it very often. But it’s very serious. You’ve actually taken someone’s livelihood away, you know? [They rely on] that money to keep the farm going, keep people paid and jobs, and so on. So I think it’s very serious. We had 11. I’ve heard of some cases where it’s been about 50." Ahead of the upcoming series of Line Of Duty, its stars - Adrian Dunbar, Vicky McClure and Martin Compston - took to the red carpet together. The BBC show will be back next year after several years hiatus with a brand new series. On the red carpet, The Chase star Mark Labbett - also known as the Beast - revealed that this was his first "proper date" with Hayley Palmer after the pair secretly rekindled their romance three months ago. He joked he was a "rubbish" boyfriend and she had been tagging along with him to multiple work events, hence why this was thier first proper date. Stacey Solomon, who is one of the stars nominated in the new Reality Docuseries category, posed with her family on the red carpet at the NTAs. She and husband Joe Swash have just relocated from their Pickle Cottage home to a new mansion. Reality star Olivia Attwood has shown up for the National TV Awards alongside Pete. Whilst they didn't pose on the red carpet together, Olivia looked incredible in a pink corset dress. It's been a tough night already for the official livestream, with their microphones not working. The presenters - including Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks - have been given bright red microphones to capture all the gossip from the stars. However, in a technical hitch, the microphones have stopped working, with Sam and Pete joking about it. Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson are the first stars to hit the red carpet - and rightly so! They'll be interviewing the celebrities as they get ready for the big event. Joel has been taken fans backstage at the awards show as preparations continue ahead of the big event. He's been filming inside the arena, showing fans the seating plan for the stars. Vicky McClure - from Line of Duty and Trigger Point - is just two seats ahead of Jeremy Clarkson, whilst Sinitta and Gemma Collins are sat next to each other as they're nominated for I'm A Celebrity South Africa. Kelly Osbourne will sit in fron t of Amanda Holden whilst Alison Hammond sits with her This Morning colleagues at the end of the row, as she is also nominated herself in a presenting category. Host Joel Dommett might have done this six years in a row - but he insists he still gets nervous. "You've got to have a few butterflies, but I always try my best not to let the nerves get involved because otherwise, especially with live television, you end up hosting it and you're going, ‘Arrrrggghhhh', so you’ve just gotta calm your nerves," he shared. "They trust me on This Morning, they trust me on Radio 2, they trust me on all sorts of things that are live, and that's why I enjoy them. Live telly is also really exciting when it goes wrong." It has been reported that Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly - who are currently in Canada filming their new I'm A Celebrity spin-off Wild Frontier - are set to win the Best Presenter award this evening at the NTAs. The pair were beaten last year by Gary Lineker, who stopped the pair's incredible 23 year reign in the category. The Geordie duo are said to be favourites to win the award tonight, despite missing out last year. As well as Wild Frontier, the pair will soon be in Australia fronting the regular version of I'm A Celebrity and of course also front Limitless Win and their own podcast, which has been a hit with viewers. They are joined in the category by Race Across The World, while breakout romance series Heated Rivalry has been nominated for the new drama prize. The show, starring Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams as two rival hockey players who fall in love, will battle it out against A Woman Of Substance, Believe Me, I Fought The Law and The Other Bennet Sister. In the year he celebrated his 100th birthday, beloved naturalist Sir David Attenborough has been recognised for his nature documentary Secret Garden, and he is also up for the TV presenter prize.
