The announcement regarding the military aircraft, made on X just before 2pm today, read: "We inform that, in connection with the activity of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles conducting strikes on targets in the western part of Ukraine, the readiness of selected forces and assets of the Republic of Poland's Air Defense System has been raised. "A military helicopter is operating in the airspace, carrying out tasks related to monitoring the situation and ensuring safety. The actions are of a preventive nature and are aimed at ensuring the safety of Polish airspace, particularly in areas adjacent to those affected by Russian strikes. "The Operational Command of the Armed Forces constantly monitors the situation, and the subordinate forces and assets remain ready for immediate response." The NATO member country's Government Security Center also warned people of the situation through an alert. It read: "ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ATTENTION! Russia air attack in Ukraine. The situation is being monitored. Police air force is operating in Polish airspace. Follow the messages."
