Harry and Meghan not on guestlist for posh wedding as only William and Kate invited Lady Amelia Windsor's wedding plans emerged as Harry and Meghan prepare to settle back into life in Britain, while questions continue over their place within the wider Royal family Prince William and Prince Harry are set to avoid a potentially awkward reunion at their cousin Lady Amelia Windsor’s wedding. Amelia, 31, is engaged to property developer Ollie Lewis and is due to marry next May in London. The ceremony could have brought the estranged brothers together for the first time since they both attended their father’s coronation in May 2023. But the Prince and Princess of Wales are understood to have received save-the-date notices, while Harry and Meghan are not currently expected to be among the guests. A source said: “Amelia has curated her guestlist for her big day and news of Harry and Meghan’s arrival in the UK came after she had drafted her list." The source quoted by the Sun continued: “She isn’t close to the couple, but maybe it’s for the best as it saves an awkward run-in between the brothers at an otherwise special day. Of course she was snubbed from Harry and Meghan’s wedding so she doesn’t owe them anything.” The wedding comes at a time of major change for Harry and Meghan, who have recently returned to Britain with Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5. Meghan was recently spotted at luxury retreat Soho Farmhouse having n coffee, however she has yet to make a public appearance since the family’s return and is said to be concentrating on helping the children settle into their new schools and home. She could remain out of the spotlight for several weeks, while Harry is preparing for a string of appearances in the UK. Their move has also put fresh attention on where the Sussexes now stand within the Royal Family. William is understood to remain opposed to Harry and Meghan resuming an official role, while the King has made clear that the couple will continue to live as private citizens. Guidance issued on behalf of the King states that the Sussexes should not use their HRH styles, which remain in abeyance, and that they “do not represent the sovereign” when making public appearances. The letter was issued under the King’s instruction by the Lord Chamberlain after requests were made for clarity over the couple’s status. Amelia, the Duke of Kent’s granddaughter, is 45th in line to the throne and is expected to put her own stamp on the celebrations and has agreed an exclusive magazine deal with Hello! for photographs from the wedding after being seen enjoying Notting Hill Carnival last month. Her grandmother, the Duchess of Kent died last year aged 92. Her funeral was a private Catholic Requiem Mass at Westminster Cathedral – a historic first for a senior royal – and was attended by the King, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and other senior members of the family.
