Los Angeles Rams star defensive end Myles Garrett will undergo knee surgery and is headed to injured reserve, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Sunday. Garrett played in the Rams' opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers but said afterward that his performance was "the worst version of myself that I've put out there," saying one of his knees was not 100% healthy going into the game. Garrett missed most of training camp while dealing with what Rams coach Sean McVay called swelling in his knee. Garrett declined to say which knee is injured but wore a sleeve on his left leg during several practices. Garrett, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, was traded to Los Angeles this offseason. He set the single-season sack record last season with the Cleveland Browns.
