Heartbreaking tributes as one-year-old baby dies in Warwickshire and two people arrested A woman, 19, and man, 21, have both been released on strict bail conditions after they were arrested following the death of a baby girl in Atherstone, Warwickshire Tributes have been paid to a one-year-old girl who died at a home in Warwickshire. Emergency services were called to reports of a child in cardiac arrest at a home in Long Street, Atherstone just before midday on Friday. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the girl was pronounced dead. A woman aged 19 and a 21-year-old man, both from Atherstone, were initially arrested at the scene on suspicion of child neglect. They were then arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of a child. The pair have now been released on strict bail conditions as investigators await the findings of a post-mortem examination, Coventry Live reports. Tributes left outside a house in Atherstone include teddies, a Peppa Pig balloon and a "4ever1" (forever one year old) message laid out in tealight candles. Detective Chief Inspector Martyn Kendall said: "This tragic death has understandably caused a great deal of shock and concern in the local community. The two suspects arrested have now been bailed with strict conditions. "We are waiting for a post mortem which will help us shed more light on the circumstances leading up to her death. "In the meantime, our detectives are working around the clock to gather evidence and I’d urge anyone with information that could help with our enquiries to get in touch."
