Bromley stabbing: Boy, 14, charged after broad daylight 'blade attack' at KFC left four injured

A 14-year-old boy has been charged after four people were stabbed at a KFC in London. Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after emergency services rushed to Bromley High Street following reports of an "altercation" last Thursday - where three boys aged 14 to 17 and a 21-year-old man were found with stab wounds. They were taken to hospital with the man said to be in a critical condition but his injuries have now been described as non-life threatening and the three boys have been discharged. All of those injured injured along with four other boys aged between 14 and 17 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. A 14-year-old boy has now been charged with one count of affray and two counts of threatening with an article, blade or offensive weapon in a public place. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court last Saturday and is due back in court on Tuesday. A statement from the Met Police read: "Police were called to Bromley High Street at around 14:15hrs on Thursday, 10 September following reports of an altercation. "Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance where three boys, aged between 14 and 17 and a 21-year-old man were located with stab wounds. "They were taken to hospital where the three boys were received treatment and have since been discharged. The 21-year-old man remains in hospital, and his condition has since been assessed as non-life-threatening. "All four of those injured, along with four other boys aged between 14 and 17, have since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Six have since been released on bail with conditions while enquiries continue. "A 14-year-old boy has since been charged with one count of affray and two counts of threatening with an article, blade or offensive weapon in a public place. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Saturday, 12 September and will next appear on Wednesday, 16 September." The London Ambulance Service said last Thursday that it sent an a helicopter to the incident on Bromley High Street as part of its response. A spokesperson stated: “We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. We treated four patients at the scene and took them all to hospital”.
