Raheem Sterling has arrived at court ahead of his first appearance accused of dangerous driving.
Former England footballer Sterling, 31, is charged with dangerous driving, possession of nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation and failing to provide a specimen, over an incident on 28 May.
Sterling, from Berkshire, who has played for Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal in the Premier League, arrived at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court wearing black trousers, black shoes and a dark top.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary previously said the charges followed a single-vehicle collision on the M3 southbound, near Minley interchange, on May 28.
The force said that no other vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported.
