Emergency services were called to Bushfield in Orton Goldhay, Peterborough at around 4pm on Monday following reports that a teenager had suffered a wound from a knife and he was taken to Peterborough City Hospital. Cambridgeshire Police described the boy's condition as "serious" but not life threatening. A cordon was set up on a field at the back of Ormiston Bushfield Academy with an investigation underway into the incident and police have said that there will be additional officers in the area. Two 14-year-old boys from Peterborough have been arrested with one on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife and theft, and he is being held in custody. The other was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assisting an offender, and he has been bailed until December 14, reported CambridgeshireLive. A statement from Cambridgeshire Police reads: "We were called at about 4pm yesterday (14 September) with reports of a 14-year-old boy with a knife injury at Bushfield, Orton Goldhay. "Officers and ambulance attended and the victim was taken to Peterborough City Hospital for treatment for serious, but not life-threatening injuries. "Two 14-year-old boys from Peterborough have been arrested in connection - one on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife and theft. He remains in custody. "The other was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assisting an offender. He has been released on bail to return 14 December. There will be an additional policing presence in the area today."
