'It hurts real bad': Bucs QB Baker Mayfield dons Michigan tank as Todd Bowles trolls

TAMPA, Fla. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers and former Oklahoma standout quarterback Baker Mayfield was forced to take the podium for his weekly Wednesday news conference in a Michigan practice jersey after the Sooners' 17-10 loss to the Wolverines last week and a friendly wager with Bucs head coach Todd Bowles. Bowles enthusiastically sang Michigan's fight song and shouted, "Let's go Blue!" as Mayfield walked up onto the stage. He spun around, revealing the No. 18 on the back of the jersey belonging to Bowles' son, linebacker Troy Bowles. "It hurts, it hurts real bad. It's been a rough couple of days. Damn, Todd," Mayfield said, also acknowledging his three-fumble performance against the Cincinnati Bengals in the season-opening loss. "Todd's son was on the winning side of it. Sooners were not. Therefore I squeezed into this little tank top." The younger Bowles, a senior at Michigan, had a team-leading nine tackles in that game and a fumble recovery in the second quarter.
