Many were taken aback by William's actions, as they couldn't believe such an unexpected moment was captured in a photograph, and it's since got many people talking. It's not the first time the Prince has caught people by surprise either. Earlier this year, it's also claimed he showed his "true colours" in another telling moment. Alongside the photograph, Tony said: "That moment when you’re on a research trip in Dartmoor and you’ve stopped where Conan Doyle stayed while writing THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES and you bump into HRH Prince William and he asks about your puppy. "Remember to follow Darcy! She knows all the right people! @itsdarcythespaniel" In the snap, you then see the Prince stopping in the street to pet the dog. Dressed in his suit, he looked super smart, but was clearly distracted enough to stop what he was doing. It appears he's a lover of dogs. The snap has since been shared on X, and many social media users were quick to comment. Several thought it said a lot about the Prince, and deemed the moment totally "sweet". One said: "What a nice surprise!!" Another added: "Adorable." A third replied: "Aw how sweet! And the puppy liked him." Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "Swoon." A different person responded: "How cool is that?" One more also wrote: "We are on holiday and drove into Princetown after lunch at two bridges. "We were stopped to let Prince William cross the road in front of us five feet away! It has made my holiday! Glad you met him. You are lucky." Many clearly thought the moment was adorable, as they considered it totally lovely. It seems the future King is skilled when it comes to making animals feel loved. According to reports, Prince William visited a Dartmoor village earlier this week. His visit is said to have occurred at the same time that applications for a fund to help projects there were declared open. People were seen coming together in Princetown, Devon, to catch a glimpse of Prince William as he went around meeting people. He also spent some time with community groups and a pair of alpacas. His visit formed a part of the launch of the Princetown Community Fund, which will offer £250,000 - consisting of grants between £500 and £40,000 each - to aid local social, economic and environmental projects.
