The Swedish pop singer shared part of the post by The White House's official TikTok account which used her song Midnight Sun as the background music for a number of ICE deportations. The caption on the 19-second video was "never ending deportations" and showed around a dozen men being placed into hand and foot cuffs by officers. Zara Larsson then spoke directly to the camera before making an L gesture with her hand - implying Donald Trump's White House were losers. The star looked completely baffled by the video before calling it dehumanising, uncool and "crazy". This isn't the first time celebrities have reacted to their own songs being used in videos from The White House. Ariana Grande issued a number of warnings to The White House in recent years, the first being after they used her 2024 track, Bye, in a TikTok video showing ICE agents making arrests. She said: "Please do not ever use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense. F- ICE." The second warning came after they used her track We Can't Be Friends to share anti-trans views. What did Zara Larsson say about Donald Trump's White House using her song on TikTok? Zara did more than just a sentence response, with her video reply being three minutes long. She said: "Like... I don't even know what to say. You know what? I'm just sad. I'm just really sad. "Cause I wish I could speak to whoever made this video. I wish I could talk to you. And I wish I could help you remember that you and I, we aren't that different. At all. And we're not that different from the people in this video, either. The biggest difference between us is that we were dealt a different hand in life. "I consider myself so lucky with the life that I've been dealt - the fact that I was born in Sweden, I have healthcare, I've had an education, I've had all these opportunities just sort of like laid out in front of me, I can travel, I get to do all of these amazing things... that's luck. That's luck. So much of that is luck. "There's people out there who are that lucky. And they want to have a better life for their families, or for themselves and their children. And I just don't understand how it could be the worst thing in the world to be an undocumented immigrant. Like, I don't understand that. "And I think sure, if you want to talk about politics and immigration politics, fine. But that's really not what this is. This video is so dehumanising. These people in this video, they're real people. "There's a f*****g guy in there with construction wear. Like, he's working. And a vast majority of these people who are undocumented are regular people with jobs, and they're just trying to have a better future. "I don't understand why you would do this video. Like, it's so crazy how everything is so memified and especially to this song, which is about feeling connected to nature, and feeling connected to the universe, and people, essentially. "And this just creates this massive divide between people. I just don't get it. Like... it's just so f*****g uncool. You guys are such f*****g losers. Like, it's crazy."
