Greater Manchester school sends warning to parents as man seen recording pupil A man described as 'bald and in his fifties or sixties' was reportedly spotted recording a pupil on Clover Road in Timperley, Greater Manchester, outside Wellington School Parents of students at a school in Greater Manchester have been asked to be vigilant after a man was reportedly seen following and recording a pupil. The incident allegedly took place outside Wellington School, a mixed secondary and sixth form in Timperley. An email sent to parents described the man as "a bald male in his fifties or sixties". The warning added that he appeared to be recording the student in question on his phone. It read: "We want to make all parents and carers aware of a report that an adult male in the area was seen on Clover Road yesterday appearing to follow a student and record them with his phone. "He has been described as a bald male in his fifties or sixties, wearing glasses and a dark tracksuit." The school added that the incident has been reported to the police, Manchester Evening News reports. The message continued: "Staff on the school gates have been alerted to this report so that they can remain vigilant as students are leaving site." Parents have also been urged to contact the school should they have any further concerns and report any similar incidents to the police. The concerning incident quickly attracted reaction from parents on social media, as the email was shared in an Altrincham Facebook group. The poster urged: "Please make your children aware." One user replied: "These warnings feel far too frequent these days, so worrying." Mirror Online has approached Greater Manchester Police for comment.
