Five women feared dead after police raid house of horrors in Philadelphia Five women are feared dead with a total of seven missing after police launch an investigation following the raid of a house of horrors with over one million photos and videos discovered At least five women are feared dead after police raided a house of horrors in the US city of Philadelphia. The police discovered guns, drugs, fake IDs and disturbing images in the property where Eugene Horsch, 44, and his father lived. They discovered video and images showing five women who appeared to be deceased. However no remains related to the investigation have been found at the property. The force said on Wednesday that they are still working to corroborate the video evidence and find more information. Horsch has not been charged with any crime connected to the women in question, police have confirmed. The investigation was launched in June after Horsch was found inside an illegally parked BMW near Philadelphia's Independence National Historical Park, according to the criminal complaint. He was found inside the vehicle with a woman by the ranger, who also discovered drugs, fake federal law enforcement badges and ammunition in the car. The woman also held an ID card of Blair Tonzelli, a different Philadelphia woman who has been missing since 2023. This led to Horsch's arrest with authorities searching his property. At his home they found dangerous chemicals, ballistics, a marijuana operation and a 55-gallon drum connected to the house water lines in the basement and hidden areas. Philadelphia Police Department Deputy Commissioner of Investigations Frank Vanore said "five urns believed to contain human ashes and a large amount of digital evidence" was also found in the basement. The force found more than one million digital materials, including photos and videos of "lots of people, women, posed in different positions within that house." Within these images are some of two missing women, Gabrielle Amarando, 27, and Maribel Fresses, 26. The police said in some of the images they appear to be alive in the house and then seem to be dead in others dating back to 2017. There were also images of three other woman who appeared to be deceased. Two of them have been identified but the third is unidentified and is being referred to as a "Jane Doe". In one of the explicit videos a woman appears to be strangled, allegedly by Horsch's father, Raymond "RC" Horsch, who also lived in the home but died last year. Police identified the woman but are keeping her identity hidden. It is believed that the elder Horsch made the videos, but the police are unsure how much of the footage shows real crimes. Vanore said: "Let's remember, he was making movies. Some of this is play acting, and some of it we believe could be real." The police announced on Thursday a total of seven missing women have been associated with evidence found in the house. They include Amarando, Fresses, the two unnamed women police have identified, Jane Doe, Tonzelli, whose ID was found in Horsch's car, and Amy McHale, whose family went to the police when they learned of the investigation. McHale was married to RC Horsch and later disappeared, according to her family. Police have said the images recovered contain 58 people, and of those, 25 are co-operating with the force. Another 16 have been found but "they don't really want to talk about what occurred in that house," Vanore said. The FBI is working on the case with the Philadelphia Police Department to trawl through the expansive digital evidence. At this point only around 30% of the materials have been reviewed by police. It's unclear whether Eugene Horsch is connected to the digital evidence and missing women. He remains in federal custody where he faces felony weapons charges and other drug charges but has not been charged in relation to the missing women. He has yet to enter a plea.
