According to the Customs and Excise Department, officers found the suspected ketamine in the checked luggage of a 22-year-old Japanese man who arrived in Hong Kong from Frankfurt on Sunday. “During customs clearance, customs officers found about 13kg of suspected ketamine inside his check-in suitcase. The man was subsequently arrested,” the department said, estimating the drugs’ street value at about HK$4.7 million. An investigation is ongoing, according to the department.
