Officers responded to Shirley Precinct at approximately 3:20 pm on August 21 following reports of the incident. Police stated that the dog—believed to be a German Shepherd—reached into the pushchair and made contact with the toddler's face. The child sustained two small puncture wounds alongside facial grazing and was transported to hospital for treatment, according to reports. Officers have since been carrying out enquiries to determine the circumstances around the horror incident. She is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, and of large build. Meanwhile, the dog, is said to have been wearing a soft mesh-style muzzle. Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has also released a CCTV image of a woman who they think can help with in their investigation. A police spokesperson said: “If this is you, or if you know the woman, please call police on 101, quoting 44260407684. “Also, if you witnessed the incident, or have any relevant information, please contact us.”
