Inside Soap Awards 2026 winners in full as Coronation Street sweeps the board The Inside Soap Awards returned tonight to its new location in Manchester, with the biggest names in soaps - EastEnders, Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and more - honoured in the only soap ceremony this year Coronation Street was the big winner at The Inside Soap Awards tonight. The Inside Soap Awards returned this evening for their 30th anniversary for the first time in Manchester. The stars of the small screen - including Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks - were out in force at the annual event, alongside the stars of BBC dramas Casualty and Waterloo Road. Up for nomination this year included Corriedale, the epic Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover episode as well as EastEnders' heartbreaking depiction of Nigel's dementia as well as Diane’s tragic death from ovarian cancer in Hollyoaks. Before the event, it was announced that Claire King - who plays Kim Tate in Emmerdale - had been inducted into the Inside Soap Awards Hall of Fame, a special trophy to mark the 30th anniversary of the Inside Soap Awards. Claire King said of her award: "I remember when these Awards started 30 years ago, and I’ve gone from Best Bitch to the longevity award. Kim Tate has been such a huge part of my life, so I am very honoured to accept this Inside Soap Hall of Fame Award." Elsewhere, Coronation Street picked up Best Soap, whilst actress Vicky Myers and actor Gareth Pierce collected their gongs in their categories for their portrayals of DS Lisa Swain and Todd Grimshaw. Emmerdale's Chris Coghill - who plays Kev Townsend in the ITV soap - won Best Comic Performance as well as Best Newcomer. The Dingles won Best Family and Corriedale was awarded Best Showstopper. Diane Parish won Best Soap Superstar for her portrayal of Denise Fox on EastEnders and Oustanding Achievement went to Hollyoaks' Alex Fletcher, who plays Diane Hutchinson. Adam Thomas won Best Drama Star for his role as Donte Charles in Waterloo Road. Inside Soap Editor, Sarah Ellis, added: "What better way to celebrate 30 years of the Inside Soap Awards than with the launch of this very special accolade! As a double winner at our very first Inside Soap Awards in 1996, Claire was the perfect choice to be our very first Hall of Fame inductee. Kim Tate remains a Dales icon to this day, serving up just as much drama now as she did back in 1996. And she still looks every bit as glamorous!" Of the awards, Sarah continued: "The Inside Soap Awards are still going strong after 30 years, and we’re proud to be championing all the wonderful work the soaps produce day in, day out. "Our readers are just as passionate and loyal now as they were back in 1996, with over 90,000 of them voting each year – and the Inside Soap Awards remain the only accolades of their kind to be voted for entirely by the true experts, the soap fans themselves."
