"Despite the efforts of several off-duty medical professionals at the scene, the man was unable to be revived and was declared deceased at the scene," a police spokesperson said. Hanging Rock Reserve was closed on Friday and will remain so on Saturday September 26, according to the Macedon Ranges Shire Council. The council cited a medical incident as the reason for the closure. The Grand Final Eve public holiday on Friday made the AFL Grand Final weekend a three-day break for many Victorians. Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
