Woman got best revenge on ex with heating, handles and his pants She admits it was petty but it helped her 'healing journey' A woman has shared how she got her “petty revenge” on an ex with a number of “unhinged” acts after getting dumped. Kerry Adams says her world was shattered when her long-time partner decided to call it quits on their relationship. The pair tried to keep things amicable until the 49-year-old from Staffordshire could find a new place to stay. But this all came to an abrupt end when he reportedly started dating someone new. Kerry decided to take action with an extreme level of pettiness. “I left the heating on all day, every day and night, set at 28 degrees because I knew I wouldn’t be contributing to the next bill,” Kerry said. “It [the heat] was like being in Ibiza but worth it. “Another time, he asked if I would stick [his dirty underwear] in with the next load of laundry for him. [Instead], I stuck his Calvin Klein and Armani boxers in the bin.” During her final month living with her ex, Kerry acted out her last piece of revenge, which has been deemed the pettiest of the lot. The pair had agreed that she could take anything with her that she had paid for, so she did just that – by removing all of the kitchen cupboard handles. Kerry said: “He asked to buy back the cupboard handles but I said ‘you told me to take anything I paid for and I paid for them’. “It was mostly done on the spur of the moment because I was upset. Looking back now, I find the situation funny – but I certainly didn’t at the time.” Kerry’s relationship ended earlier this year and months later, she decided to open up on Instagram about her actions, with many people sharing confessions of their own. “When my friend and I were packing my things after my breakup, she took the pot of sugar so he couldn’t have a nice cup of tea in the morning,” said Rachel. Another person confessed: “I monitored his MOT status until it ran out then coincidentally he was stopped by traffic police and also had two baldy tyres.” “This is the laugh I needed today,” said Natalie. “Yesss Kerry, being unhinged is part of the healing process,” added someone else. “This gave me a good laugh, you GO GAL xx,” said another person. “Still makes me chuckle about the handles,” added someone else. Despite the devastating break-up, Kelly claims it actually turned out to be the best thing that happened to her. Kelly said: “Now, I would thank him because I genuinely believe that my life is better without him in it. I enjoyed my best summer in a long time. I have started to see friends again and meet new people. “It just makes me laugh when I think about it and I have received so much support on Instagram since I started sharing my life on there. So yes, petty – but therapeutic too.”
