Slimming World dieters are 'so excited' over 'first-ever' festive dessert reveal Slimming World has announced its latest range of ready meals including one which is a first of its kind Losing weight is at the front of many people's minds as the festive season looms. But it can be hard if you feel you have to give up your seasonal favourites - especially when the supermarket shelves are groaning under Christmas puddings, cakes and other sweet treats. Slimming World already has a massive range of healthy ready meal food options on sale at Iceland and now it has announced its new line-up - including one festive desert which it says is it's "first ever". And the announcement has already seen dieters keen for it to arrive in stores. The weight loss giant said: "Joining the range is Slimming World’s first-ever festive dessert, the Mince Pie Crumble, offering a warming seasonal twist on a classic winter pudding." It explained: "This Christmas, Slimming World is bringing festive flavour to the table with its very first seasonal dessert. Combining the comforting taste of traditional mince pies, with a golden crumble topping, the Mince Pie Crumble are high in fibre offering a simple and satisfying way to enjoy a festive favourite while staying on track. "The Mince Pie Crumble joins the Rhubarb, Strawberry and Apple and Apple, Blackberry and Cinnamon Crumbles, which launched earlier this year and have been huge hits with shoppers." And the announcement has left Slimming World followers "so excited". A post on Slimming World With Amanda Ray Hastings and Bexhill announced the news saying: "HOT OFF THE PRESS! I am SOOOO excited! "As the heatwave gives way to cosy autumn nights, snuggle up with the latest additions to our crumble collection … Mince Pie Crumbles! What will you serve yours with… Custard? Ice Cream? Yoghurt?" Followers were equally thrilled at the news. Jenny said: "Can't wait to try these." Melinda added: "Ooh love mincemeat will definitely buy these" while Melissa wrote: "These are going to be in my freezer." The dessert is part of a new range that includes curries, lasagne and even burgers which are all set to launch over the next few days. Slimming World said the move was aimed at "giving shopper even more choice" with an "exciting expansion" of the food range including new "gourmet meals centres and a festive dessert". It said: "Responding to growing demand for quick, nutritious meal solutions, the expanded range introduces a variety of satisfying dishes designed to fit seamlessly into Slimming World’s healthy eating plan, Food Optimising. From high-protein and high-fibre goods to bold new flavour combinations, the range delivers convenience and choice while being low in fat and without compromising on flavour. "The new products include Chicken Parmigiana, a popular dish inspired by the classic Italian-American recipe that features two roasted chicken breasts, topped with Regato cheese and a duo of delicious sauces."
