New Lidl 'double' air fryer similar to £200 Ninja model coming out Sunday The supermarket is bringing out its own 'vertical' version this week Lidl shoppers can add a new gadget to their kitchen worktops that offers an "easy" way to cook more in a 'fast and compact' way. The supermarket is releasing a new air fryer offer later this week. Its Silvercrest Double Stack Air Fryer is landing in stores on Sunday, October 4. Lidl says shoppers can cook two dishes at once as the air fryer's vertically stacked zones each offer 4.75L of space (9.5L overall). The air fryer also allows for "multi-tier cooking" with an “easy to use” LED display, push-buttons, and an adjustment knob. The appliance will be on sale for £79.99. Lidl says: "For preparing two dishes simultaneously. Two vertically stacked, separately controlled, independent cooking zones. Multi-tier cooking with up to four layers. LED display with push-buttons and adjustment knob for easy operation." It looks and functions similarly to a high-end Ninja model. On the official Ninja website, the Ninja Double Stack XL 9.5L Air Fryer SL400UK is available for £199.99. Both air fryers are similar. Lidl's version could be seen as a budget-friendly alternative to the popular Ninja Double Stack XL. Both appliances feature a unique vertical design that places one cooking drawer directly on top of the other, saving valuable kitchen counter space compared to standard side-by-side dual-zone air fryers. In terms of capabilities, the two models are almost identical. They both feature a generous total capacity of 9.5 litres, which is split evenly between the top and bottom drawers. They also come equipped with removable wire racks so you can cook on up to four separate layers at the same time. Lidl’s device comes with seven preset modes, including reheat, dehydrate, air fry, roast, prove, bake and ultra crisp. The supermarket adds that the device will use 'sync technology', which completes two dishes simultaneously using different programs. Each set sold by Lidl will come with all of the necessary parts, including trays to elevate food and non-stick trivets. At 37cm wide, the compact air fryer takes up much less space on the counter than a traditional side-by-side device. As part of the first October releases, Lidl is selling a variety of items that could save shoppers money compared to big brand alternatives. One option is a £10 “perfect for autumn” jacket, similar to a £70 high-end option. Lidl's Esmara Ladies' Navy Lightweight Padded Jacket is coming to stores this weekend, just in time for the autumn weather. It is ultra-lightweight yet has a padded design, which Lidl says can help to keep you warm on chilly mornings and crisp evening walks. The lightweight outerwear piece shares similar features to the £69 Esprit Outdoor Woven Jacket.
