Tokyo has endured 34 consecutive days of rain, setting a new record for the city's longest rainy streak, Japan's weather agency said Tuesday. Footage from the Japanese capital shows pedestrians navigating heavy downpours under umbrellas, while rainwater covers the streets and vehicles move through the wet conditions. The previous record of the longest streak of rainy days in Tokyo was 33 between June 27 and July 29, 2019, said Kazuhiro Hirono, another JMA official.
