Mum livid as school worker berates her 'murder' dog and tells kids to 'run' Mum-of-one Teresa Clive refused a school worker's demand to put her dog, Storm, on a lead in Greenwich Park, with the employee warning children about "murder dogs" A school worker allegedly shouted at children to flee from "murder dogs" in Greenwich Park - as the owner refused to put her pocket bully on a leash. The furious exchange was captured on camera as Teresa Clive walked her dog, Storm, in the royal park in south-east London last month (29 August). The 36-year-old payroll manager said "well trained" Storm was walking alongside her when the bloke, wearing a school-branded hi-vis vest, insisted she be put on a lead. According to Greenwich Park's policies, dogs generally don't need to be on a lead, but it is on the owner to keep them under control. Footage shows the man dubbing Storm an XL bully, with Teresa shouting "an XL Bully?" in disbelief before asking if he's responsible for the kids standing nearby. He then turns to the young kids, describing Teresa and her mate as "the local nutters". Angry, the school worker then shouts "do you think I'm doing this for no reason? We've had students attacked by dogs". During the incident, he derided them by shouting: "It's always the same isn't it?' Oh he's [the dog is] always so nice' and then he's killed five babies." As he moves the children away, the bucket hat-wearing man cautions them "come on guys, before the murder dogs get you". He turned to the pair and said "everybody else has them on a lead" in the park - but Teresa only informs him "you need a lead, mate". Ultimately, he walks off, pledging to get "the old bill [the police]". Angry, the mum-of-one shared the footage online, maintaining that a dog's behaviour is "based on its owner", not its breed. Teresa, from Greenwich, South-East London, said: "It was early in the morning, the park was fairly empty, we do this daily." "We noticed the group taking photos so we stood back and had our dogs in a 'heel' position so we weren't interrupting their photos and it was quite quiet. "While we were waiting, the guy turned around and started saying 'your dog should be on a lead, put your dogs on a lead'. He got quite aggressive and started waving his arms around. "We were saying they don't need to be on a lead and that's when he started accusing my dog of being an XL bully and my friend started recording. "At that point I was actually quite angry, that did infuriate me but it was a bit scary as well because [he was] basically calling me a criminal. "If he had turned around and gone 'would you mind popping them on a lead?' I would have happily done it, it's because he was being demanding and he was just being an arrogant male. "They're both very well-trained dogs, Storm's been under canine training since she was eight weeks old." In the clip, the man mocks them for filming him while simultaneously demanding they capture on camera that their dogs aren't on their leads. While Teresa tries to point out that they are in Greenwich Park, he initially tells them it's not the park, before saying "whatever, have a nice life". Later, he begins waving and dancing for the camera and shouting "make me famous", while the owners can be heard saying "he's actually insane - he's in charge of children". As he attempts to alert other people that the dogs are off-lead, the women called him "fat and stupid". Under the Dangerous Dogs Act, XL Bullies are categorised as an illegal breed, but pocket bullies aren't. Teresa said: "She's super docile, she's super friendly when I let her be - I don't just let her run up to people. She's also just really docile and dopey at the same time, at home she's just a couch potato. "Telling all those kids that she's an illegal breed and a murder dog was quite unsettling. A couple of times [...] I have been accused [of her being an XL Bully] and told that she needs a muzzle." "Usually, a simple conversation and educating people resolves that. Sometimes people cross the road and avoid her and not let their kids near her but that doesn't bother me. I was quite understanding of it, it's just uneducated people. "Communication with owners is what is required, a dog's behaviour is based on the owner not the dog or the breed."
