Meghan Markle releases £100 luxury advent calendar inspired by her California home

Meghan Markle releases £100 luxury advent calendar inspired by her California home Just weeks after relocating to the UK, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has launched her newest As Ever product, which will set fans back more than £100 Meghan Markle is already getting in the festive spirit with her latest As Ever release, as she teased a luxury advent calendar will soon be for sale. The Duchess of Sussex shared the sneak peek of the calendar on her Instagram, which is inspired by her home in Montecito. The 24-door advent calendar appears to feature an illustration of her home in California, from which the Sussex family moved a matter of weeks ago as they relocated to Britain after spending six years in America. The festive product was shared on the As Ever Instagram account, as Meghan teased that the calendar would be available to order later today. The inside of the box features the words ‘A magical celebration of the season’, and adds that the 24 handcrafted chocolates are there to ‘sweeten each day’ and have been ‘thoughtfully inspired by our Montecito garden’. The calendar will retail for £112, or $148USD, which equates to approximately £4.60 per chocolate. After the announcement was made on the brand’s social media, Meghan shared a video to her own Instagram stories of her driving around what appears to be the garden of her Montecito home in a golf buggy. Sitting beside Meghan in the clip is Jonathan Grahm, chief executive of Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes, with whom the calendar is in collaboration with. The next clip shows the Duchess showing off the first sketches of the calendar’s illustration, and another clip showing the Sussex’s dog, a black Labrador named Pula, walking around carrying a stuffed toy in the shape of As Ever’s raspberry spread in its mouth. The video was captioned ‘ Christmas planning in June’ while Michael Bublé’s festive tune Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) played over the clips. Pre-orders for the limited edition advent calendar are believed to open on Thursday afternoon, with deliveries expected for fans in November. While Meghan is now residing in Britain with her husband Prince Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet, it is believed the calendar will only be available for American fans, as the lifestyle brand ships solely around the US. Meghan, Harry and their children arrived back in the UK in late August, and are believed to be living in the Cotswolds for an ‘extended stay’ back in Harry’s home country. The Duchess has been keeping a low profile since returning, but was spotted at Three Horseshoes pub near Burford, Oxfordshire, in pictures obtained by Page Six, as she mingled with fellow expat Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi. Last week, a close friend of Meghan’s shared a series of unseen photos from the Sussex family’s first month back in the UK. Kelly McKee Zajfen, who appeared on Meghan’s Netflix show, posted a carousel of photos to her Instagram showing Harry, Meghan and their daughter Lilibet spending quality time together in the UK, as she enjoyed a holiday in the English countryside. In the caption, Kelly said she was ‘having the best time’ in the UK, and relished in ‘getting a taste of this magical place with my bestie’. She also spoke sweetly of the Sussex’s new chapter in Britain, and thanked people for welcoming Harry and Meghan back to England.
