Lloyds customers cut cost of heating by signing up to new offer by October 12 The offer, which is designed to help customers save money on their heating bills, is available now until October 12 Lloyds is giving its customers access to an exclusive fixed energy tariff of £1,697 a year for 24-months from E.ON Next. The offer, available now via the Bill Switcher section in the Rewards Hub in the Lloyds app until October 12, is said to provide customers with certainty around the cost of household energy. From October 1, the energy price cap rises, taking the average annual bill for a typical household with both gas and electricity, paying by Direct Debit, to £1,723, and forecasts suggest the January price cap could be £2,065. Actual bills will vary depending on how much energy a household uses. In addition, the first 1,000 eligible customers applying for the energy deal will receive an Amazon voucher. The voucher will be worth £25 for customers switching both gas and electricity, and £10 for those switching just one. Chris Butt, Head of Rewards Partnerships at Lloyds, said: "As colder weather approaches, many households will be looking for ways to keep their energy bills down. This exclusive tariff offers customers more certainty over what they will pay towards their bills. "Customers can also make their money go further with Lloyds Rewards, which offers a host of offers, cashback, and a range of activities to earn rewards. They can also use the Bill Switcher service, which makes it easy to compare household bills and find a better deal." What is Bill Switcher? Together with ApTap, Lloyds created Bill Switcher, a free service in the Rewards hub in the Lloyds app, which helps customers check whether they could pay less for their broadband, mobile phone or energy. Since launching Bill Switcher, Lloyds says it has helped customers save more than £359,000 in energy and broadband deals. Customers can use it to compare providers, see alternative deals and switch to a new supplier if they find an option that suits them. The service is found in the tools section of the Rewards Hub. What is Lloyds Rewards? Lloyds describes its Lloyds Rewards as a dedicated space in the Lloyds app where customers can browse cashback offers and perks available to them. This includes up to 15% cashback when shopping at selected retailers with an eligible Lloyds debit or credit card. Customers activate an offer in the app, then shop as normal in-store or online. The Rewards space also offers prize draws and simple challenges. Lloyds is currently running a Super Prize Draw, giving away thousands of pounds in cash prizes, including a £1 million top prize in November.
