Popular vacuum cleaner urgently recalled as customers told 'stop using' Anyone with the vacuum should seek a refund, repair or replacement A vacuum cleaner has been urgently recalled from customers after an issue was found. Customers have been urged to stop using the item and seek a refund, repair or replacement. The 4-in-1 Handheld Cordless Vacuum was sold on eBay but was supplied without the required manufacturer and importer identification details. As a result, the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a recall notice. It said: "The product was supplied without the required manufacturer and importer identification details. The product did not include the manufacturer’s postal address, nor the UK importer’s name, registered trade name or trademark, or postal address. "In addition, the CE marking displayed on the product was below the minimum prescribed size requirements. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016." The OPSS added: "The product has been recalled from end users by the eBay seller – Storm.Trading (JD Europe). Affected customers have been contacted directly by the supplier. "If you own this product, stop using it and contact the eBay seller for a refund, repair or replacement." The vacuum is described as a cordless handheld cleaner that is marketed as a “four-in-one” product. The product comes with a floor brush, crevice tool, brush tool, telescopic extension tube and washable HEPA filter.
