Man City could stick the boot in on Slegers
Man City vs Arsenal - Sunday, kick-off 4.30pm, live on Sky Sports
While the turmoil engulfing Manchester City Football Club rumbles on in the background of M11, I have no doubt Andree Jeglertz will insist nothing changes for his reigning champs. And why should it? City are thriving under him, top of the WSL, unbeaten since April.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are stuck in a revolving rut. Things have gone stale under Renee Slegers, who needs a big result to breathe some life into a tenure that is increasingly gathering unwanted attention. The Gunners are winless in each of their last three league outings and Slegers has come in for criticism after her side blew a two-goal lead in Paris to draw 2-2 midweek.
Subjectively, I'm in the camp that defeat on Sunday ends their title race. The gap to City as leaders would already be 10 points and that deficit is rarely surmountable. It's on Arsenal to approach the game with the kind of authority that, so far, has been absent from most of their disjointed performances. They must show up.
City are unlikely to take pity; if they sense even a flicker of vulnerability, they will go for the kill.
Can Man Utd build on first win?
Man Utd vs Liverpool - Saturday, kick-off 1.30pm
Man Utd remain on a voyage of discovery under Eva Olid. What is their style of play? How much is realistically achievable this season? Is evolution as a club even possible in the current climate? There is limited evidence from which to draw conclusions at this early stage.
But I admired their endeavour in victory over West Ham last weekend, Olid's first in the WSL. Her side carried equal threat from open play and set-pieces, and scored two well-worked goals. The Spaniard's desire to develop an aggressive, pressing team was far more detectable - but it's clearly a work in progress.
Despite ranking among the sides who have amassed the fewest shots and one of the lowest accumulated xG values, they also have the best conversion rate in the WSL. That tells me they are being smart with the rare moments they get, but have to be better at generating more sustained attacking intent in order to improve creatively.
Summer signing Andrea Medina has carried the torch so far, but I also liked what I saw from Ella Toone last week - playing with an axe to grind after her latest England snub.

Putellas to create domino effect?
Tottenham vs London City Lionesses - Sunday, kick-off 2pm, live on Sky Sports
This is a game that fascinates me. Since the start of April, only Chelsea and Man City have won more points per game than Tottenham's 2.4. London City are close behind with 2.1. Form meets form.
These are the kinds of close-run contests that will define the next stage of development for two sides who have designs on breaking the establishment. Only once have Spurs amassed more points after four played. They are demonstrating new levels of tactical variety with the craft and consistency of their attacking output.
It's difficult not to get overexcited, but Martin Ho is a realist. He will know this weekend is big.
I expect London City captain Alexia Putellas to thrive in phases of the game that Spurs leave themselves open. If you give an elite playmaker space to exploit, better believe she will find the gaps that hurt you most.
Her strike in victory over Brighton last week signals she is beginning to settle into new surroundings and that has the power to create a domino effect. The Spaniard has ended on the winning side in 129 of the last 130 league games she has scored in.
Has Chelsea's ruthlessness finally returned?
West Ham vs Chelsea - Sunday, kick-off 2pm, live on Sky Sports
Chelsea have conceded just once in the WSL this season - the fewest of any side. That is the kind of belligerence title charges are built on.
After a slightly stuttering start, Sonia Bompastor's side have clicked into gear and are ticking games off with an efficiency that reminds me of eras gone by. My pre-season judgement that they remain light on firepower has been mitigated somewhat by the step up from other departments.
Excluding own goals, Chelsea boast the joint-most goalscorers in the division (8). Such a spread not only gives them threat from all over the pitch but also makes them hard to predict, with constant variation in movement and game pace.
Bompastor has been bullish in her pursuit of the ruthless edge that appeared to be lost when Emma Hayes departed. Recent results suggest she is getting closer to finding it.
Villa must stop leaking goals
Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace - Sunday, kick-off 2pm, live on Sky Sports
Aston Villa are winless in each of their last eight WSL outings, which goes some way to explaining why Natalia Arroyo lost her job this week - the first managerial casualty of the season. I saw flashes of exciting, progressive play under the Spanish coach but results were far too erratic to allow time for such a style to properly develop.
Villa also lost top-scorer Kirsty Hanson to Tottenham in the summer and that probably gives you a good indication of where they are at in the competitive food chain.
Both Villa and Sunday's opponents Crystal Palace have already shipped a league-high 10 goals each this term, facing a combined 223 shots against. The only area of focus for Villa's interim boss Brian Sorensen is surely to address that shortfall.
Opportunity knocks for Charlton
Brighton vs Charlton - Sunday, kick-off 2pm, live on Sky Sports
Charlton are the only team without a point this season, managing just two shots on target and one solitary goal. They badly need something to fall their way, and Brighton might just be the obliging hosts their predicament could exploit.
Brighton are winless in seven in the WSL and are only two points better off in the standings. Arturo Ruiz has not yet had the time he needs to get his ideas across after taking over from Dario Vidosic so late in the day. He did not get the benefit of a pre-season to prune this inherited squad. Charlton should look for any opportunity to profit.
Everton must break goal duck
Everton vs Birmingham City - Sunday, kick-off 2pm, live on Sky Sports
A weird quirk of this season is that Everton have won two games without scoring a single goal themselves. 360 minutes have passed without a Toffees player finding the net in the top flight, benefiting from two own goals to take six points from 12. It's a solid return but clearly they need to start producing goals of their own volition to build further.
Someone who is not struggling in front of goal is Birmingham City's Oceane Hurtre. The 22-year-old has scored four already and can be the difference as the Blues chase their first win since returning to the WSL.
