OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the winless Tennessee Titans after having surgery for a broken finger on his right hand.
Hendrickson, who is the Ravens' top pass-rusher, broke his finger in the season opener and has played with it taped up for the past two games.
"We were able to get the finger fixed," Ravens coach Jesse Minter said after Friday's practice. "We think it will be very, very short term. It's a quick way to get that fixed and get him back. I think that's going to be best for us moving forward long term."
In three games, Hendrickson has one sack and three quarterback hits. He has been Baltimore's most consistent edge rusher, recording a 17.6% pressure rate, which is tied for sixth in the NFL.
Hendrickson, 31, was the Ravens' top free-agent addition this offseason, signing a four-year, $112 million contract. Since the start of the 2023 season, Hendrickson's 40 sacks rank fourth in the NFL.
Without Hendrickson, the Ravens will rely more on outside linebacker Mike Green, a second-round pick from a year ago who has one sack and two quarterback hits. Minter also mentioned undrafted rookie outside linebacker Ethan Burke will likely get his first defensive snaps of the season.
Baltimore's other injury concern is starting left tackle Ronnie Stanley, who didn't practice Friday with a toe injury. He had been limited Wednesday and Thursday.
Stanley didn't play last week but Minter sounded optimistic about him returning Sunday.
"I think he's in a good position," Minter said. "... I do think he was able to get a good amount of work in and we wanted to give him the best opportunity going into the game."
