Noah's Ark site mystery as 'underground corridors' found beneath Turkey US expert Dr Khosrow Bakhtar said he is '100 per cent sure' the organised patterns discovered at the Durupınar formation in Turkey come from the same object New mysterious "underground corridors" have been found at a site in Turkey where remains of Noah's Ark are said to be located. The discovery comes as US expert Dr Khosrow Bakhtar claims he has detected an array of unnatural, organised patterns buried deep beneath the surface. He described the findings as an "anomaly". Dr Bakhtar said: "This is the most significant finding for 40 years of my career. I have never seen this kind of anomaly before." The veteran scientist made the discovery discovery using his high-tech subsurface scanner called the "BakhtarRadar". The scanner was used on the famous Durupınar formation in Turkey as the radar removes geological noise such as rocks and dirt. Dr Bakhtar's findings also include massive underground corridors and chambers running through the 515-foot boat-shaped mound near the Mountains of Ararat, the Express reports. Other scientists, however, have previously dismissed the Durupınar formation as a natural geological quirk. But Dr Bakhtar said: "If the anomalies were not important, we would not have seen them at all. "But the fact that they showed so clearly indicates that they come from something. I am a hundred per cent sure that they come from the same original object." He added: "As we entered the boat, we identified a very strong interface, which is a very dark line going all the way down. If you look at the strength of the signature, it doesn't matter what depth you're looking at, they all have the same strength. "We can quantify the repeated anomalies that, when you connect them, form corridors. Because of that, I think all the anomalies are related to one particular object." The results were released by the research group Noah's Ark Scans, which boldly declared that the site is "100 per cent not geological." Dr Bakhtar, however, said he remains open-minded about what actually made the mysterious outline. His comments came after an international expedition, jointly authorised by the Turkish government, ramped up physical work at the site. Researchers have begun coring and drilling into the formation to pull up soil and rock samples for laboratory testing. But geologists insist that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, leaving the world waiting on the lab results to see if Dr Bakhtar's mysterious "corridors" really are the remains of Noah's Ark.
