A 34-year-old mystery has been come to an end as a man who vanished in 1992 has tragically been found dead overseas. Patrick (Patsy) O'Sullivan was 35 when he went missing in 1992. His last contact with his family was in Lombardstown, County Cork, Ireland in April that year during the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, following his return from a job in Co. Kerry. He was expected to visit his family in the coming weeks for a Christening. But he failed to appear at the occasion and has remained missing ever since. Patsy would frequently travel away for work lasting weeks at a stretch across various locations, yet he would consistently keep in touch with his loved ones and come home regularly. Throughout the years, his relatives refused to abandon hope of finding Patsy and launched a renewed plea for information as recently as July this year, using social media to reach out to people in Co Kerry and elsewhere for any details they might possess, regardless of how minor reports Cork Beo. It's now been confirmed that Patsy has been discovered deceased overseas. Police have informed his family. His disappearance featured on Crimecall on multiple occasions, including last year when he would have reached 68 years of age. Patsy was the middle child among seven siblings, with his two brothers having previously telling RTE about the anguish they've endured since his disappearance. His brother Jerry succinctly said: "He just stopped coming home." Jerry also remembered his brother as having a "heart of gold", while their other sibling Eugene said he always "enjoyed his life to the full." In tonight's update, a spokesperson for the Gardaí announced: "The missing person, Patrick (Patsy) O'Sullivan, whose last known contact with his family was in Lombardstown, County Cork in April 1992, has been located. "An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and public for their assistance."
