Several ASOS customers have received a sinister push notification to their phones indicating that the online fashion retailer has been hacked
Online fashion retailer ASOS has reportedly been "hacked" with customers sharing screenshots of a bizarre notification threatening to leak the business 's information.
A notification sent to app users and titled 'ASOS HACKED' reads: "Dear Asos DPO and IT, we have fully compromised the Snowflake instance. Engage with us, or we will leak it."
The message is followed by a link out to a Telegram chat.
The Mirror has contacted ASOS for comment.

Panic as users rush to delete payment details
The notification has sparked panic amongst customers, with many logging in to the ASOS app and website to delete their payment details.
"ASOS has been hacked. Haven't used that website in years... immediately went to delete my payment information oh my god…," one user said in a post on X.
Another said: "Delete ur card details from the asos app NOOOWWWWWW."
ASOS share price plunges
ASOS' shares were down by 11% at one stage after the notification was sent to customers, and it has continued to fall.
The company has not confirmed the breach or commented on whether customer information had been compromised.
Sinister notification sent to customers
A screenshot shows the push notification sent to customers this morning, which claims ASOS' systems have been "compromised".
The message, addressed to ASOS, DPO (its Data Protection Officer) and IT, also threatens to leak the company's data if it fails to engage.
What does the message mean?
The message sent to app users phone reads: "ASOS HACKED: "Dear Asos DPO and IT, we have fully compromised the Snowflake instance. Engage with us, or we will leak it."
DPO stands for Data Protection Officer - the person responsible for ensuring a company is handling personal information legally and safely.
Snowflake is an online platform that allows companies store and share large amounts of data.
Hundreds of customers have reported the message
Almost 500 customers reported issues with the ASOS site just before 10am, according to internet monitoring service Downdetector.
