Shocking moment passenger ferry crashes into mansion after losing control No injuries were reported from the crash as videos of the aftermath show a trail of destruction left by the ferry, which also collided with a boat moored up infront of the property in Istanbul, Turkey Shocking CCTV footage shows the moment a passenger ferry appears to collide with a mansion and a boat moored in front of the glitzy home. Videos from Turkey show a large boat careering straight into an outside terrace of a waterfront property, smashing into a smaller vessel in front of it. Turkish news outlets say the incident took place in Üsküdar, an Istanbul suburb on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. Reports suggest the incident took place at 10:30pm on Tuesday, October 6. It’s thought the mansion and boat were owned by a businessman. Both have been damaged, according to DHA news. It added no injuries were sustained in the incident. CCTV footage shows the larger ferry approaching the smaller boat, initially sending birds flying away in fear. The bow of the ferry then collides with the side of the boat, pinning it against the outside terrace. The boat is then thrown backwards as the ferry continues to head careen into the terrace, quickly destroying a metal fence and retaining wall. It then goes a few metres into the terrace, before slowly sliding back into the water, leaving devastation in its wake. As it retreats, people onboard the ferry can be seen rushing to its bow to express their disbelief at the incident, with hands placed on heads. Videos on social media taken from inside the mansion show the chaos left behind, with fences destroyed, furniture broken, and plants ripped apart. The mansion occupants and ferry personnel can be heard shouting at one another.
