New Aldi £7 cushion 'perfect in any room' similar to pricier 'chic' Next version Shoppers keen to stick to a budget may be impressed by the 'cosy' homeware item that looks similar to one at Next As autumn takes hold, UK homeowners are looking for affordable ways to add warmth and style to their living spaces. For shoppers keen to stick to a budget, Aldi is currently selling a 'cosy' item that may be of interest, and it looks similar to pricier versions found elsewhere on the high street. As part of its latest batch of Special Buy 'Home' products, the supermarket is selling a cushion that could be easily mistaken at a glance for a more expensive option available at Next. Aldi brings out new Special Buy deals in its Middle Aisle every Thursday and Sunday. Customers can get their hands on a Kirkton House Faux Fur Cushion for £6.99, while stocks last. There are several colours to choose from, including anthracite, white, beige, brown, and grey. What does Aldi say about the cushion? The cushion is 45cm by 45cm and is made from 100% polyester. The supermarket says: "Add a touch of warmth and texture to your space with this super-soft design. Perfect for creating a cosy and inviting feel in any room." The cushion should be available in UK Aldi stores. However, the supermarket says it has experienced delays with a few products, so it may not be available at your local store just yet. You can check the latest Aldi Special Buy delays on its website. How does it resemble Next's version? For those who like the look of the Catherine Lansfield Soft and Cosy Ribbed Cushion at Next, which costs £16, Aldi's £7 version could be a more budget-friendly alternative. Both options share similar features in shape, size and colour. Both come in a standard 45 by 45 cm square format and are crafted from 100% polyester. This material choice ensures that both options are highly durable, soft to the touch, and conveniently machine washable, which can be ideal for busy households. The Aldi Kirkton House cushion has a faux-fur finish and a ribbed structure. The Next Catherine Lansfield alternative also features a distinct ribbed texture, with similar colour options to Aldi's. What does Next say? In the product description, Next says: "Catherine Lansfield is renowned for style and quality - designed and developed in Great Britain. Add a cosy modern look to your home decor with this cosy ribbed soft touch velvet cushion. "Showcasing a chic ribbed design, adding texture and dimension to any space. The soft touch velvet material offers a luxurious and comfortable feel, making this cushion perfect for lounging and relaxing. The bold and vibrant colour options are perfect for making a statement and adding a pop of colour to any room." Are there any differences? In terms of differences, pricing and availability set them apart. Aldi's offering is part of its limited-run Special Buys range, making it a highly budget-friendly but temporary find. Meanwhile, the Catherine Lansfield line at Next is consistently available and can be ordered online for home delivery. It is up to shoppers to decide which cushion they prefer in terms of brand, design, and price, but opting for Aldi's version would save them more money.
