Mexican influencer 'killed her three kids and boyfriend' in 'murder-suicide' horror Mexican influencer Cindy Tamez had a glitzy social media life, but investigators now believe she shot her three children and boyfriend before turning the gun on herself An influencer is thought to have shot her boyfriend and three children before turning the gun on herself. Influencer Cindy Tamez was found dead with her two-year-old son Gustavo, inside a Jeep in Montemorelos, Mexico, on the morning of September 30. Her other two boys, 10-year-old Bruno and 11-year-old Christian, and her partner Leodegario Moya Garza, were found dead at the family home nearby. All five family members suffered gunshot wounds. Investigators recovered a .38-calibre automatic pistol, a mobile phone and a cartridge from inside the Jeep. Just hours before the grim discovery, Cindy, 33, posted a clip from inside a moving car with the caption: “Not everyone knows my nasty side... I’d burn down my own house just to watch my neighbour’s go up in flames, even knowing I’d get f**ked over too.” Initial forensic investigations indicate Tamez shot Leodegario, 29, and two of the children at home before leaving with the third child, Nuevo León State Attorney General Javier Flores Saldívar said. The two boys were found downstairs, behind a sofa in the living room. Investigators say the children may have hidden there after hearing Tamez shoot their father. Tamez is then believed to have killed the third child before taking her own life. The horrific events took place after a gathering with family and friends the previous night, investigators said. Flores said evidence of alcohol consumption was found at the home. A 14-year-old family friend who had stayed over after the gathering claimed to have seen Tamez shooting one of the victims. On Saturday, he reportedly told police that Tamez “saw him and spared his life”. Leodegario was asleep when he was shot, according to reports. Prosecutors believe he and Tamez argued shortly before the killings. Cindy, whose full name was Cinthya Abigail Tamez Rivera, was thought to have been involved in lending money and organising informal savings schemes. She also reportedly bought, sold and raffled items including vehicles, chains, watches and mobile phones. She had tens of thousands of followers on social media, where she posted snapshots of her daily life, including off-road vehicles and parties, and appeared to project an image of affluence. Some of her earlier posts included messages about getting revenge on people who had hurt her. One read: “I can take it, but I can give it back twice as hard, so don’t think I give a f**k – I can be twice as much of a c**t as you.” Another said: “I’m probably just as much of a piece of s**t as you, or even worse, but I never screw someone over unless they’ve screwed me over first.” For mental health support, contact the Samaritans on 116 123, email them at [email protected] or visit samaritans.org to find your nearest branch.
