The new Alexa Tablet series, announced Thursday, comes in 8-, 11- and 12-inch sizes, with Amazon pitching the biggest version, the “Pro,” to people who use tablets for both entertainment and productivity. Prices start at $230, $330 and $500, respectively. That’s far below what other tablet makers like Apple and Samsung Electronics Co. charge for similar wares. Amazon’s new devices will be available Oct. 14.
