A man has been arrested after a young boy was injured in an alleged dog attack in north Manchester.
Officers were called to Scotland Hall Road in Newton Heath at around 4pm on Thursday to reports of Bullmastiff-type dogs "on the loose", Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
It was reported to the force that an 11-year-old boy had been bitten on the elbow. Thankfully, his injury is believed to be "minor", the force added.
Pictures from the scene showed a large number of police vehicles in the area, including specialist Tactical Aid Unit (TAU) officers, the Manchester Evening News reports.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an aggressive animal, a GMP spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said one dog was seized and two others were placed in kennels.
Their breeds have not yet been confirmed.
