Should Meghan Markle’s Christmas collection be available in the UK? Take our poll and have your say The Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand As Ever has released its festive collection, but it is only available for fans in the United States Meghan Markle is getting in the festive spirit, after releasing her new Christmas collection with her lifestyle brand As Ever. The Duchess of Sussex announced her brand’s first advent calendar on October 1, which is inspired by her home in Montecito. The 24-door advent calendar features an illustration of her home in California, from which the Sussex family moved a matter of weeks ago as they relocated to Britain after spending six years in America. And although Meghan now resides in the UK, the festive collection isn't available to British fans. The inside of the box features the words ‘A magical celebration of the season’, and adds that the 24 handcrafted chocolates are there to ‘sweeten each day’ and have been ‘thoughtfully inspired by our Montecito garden’. The calendar, which has been created in collaboration with luxury Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes, will retail for £112, or $148USD, which equates to approximately £4.60 per chocolate. The advent calendar was just the first of Meghan’s festive offerings, as a few days later, she launched the ‘first chapter’ of As Ever’s Christmas collection, featuring three luxury hampers filled with the brand’s staples and presented in a wicker basket. On offer are the Pantry Basket costing £195, a Parlour Basket for £182, and a Hostess Basket for £159 to her limited edition products, with each basket featuring a different amount of As Ever staples. In the cheapest of the offerings for £159, the Hostess Basket includes a trio of As Ever fruit spreads, three tins of different herbal teas, two scented candles and a jar of flower sprinkles. The Parlour Basket contains a signature set of two packs playing cards, two spice kits for making hot toddies and mulled cider, a scented candle, and a trio of chocolate bars also in collaboration with luxury Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes. The three flavours of chocolate bars are inspired by Meghan’s As Ever tea offerings, including hibiscus and rose, lavender and honey, and ginger and lemon. Those looking to indulge in just the chocolate bars can buy the trio separately from the hamper for £31. The most expensive hamper, the Pantry Basket costing £195, includes a trio of fruit spreads, a duo of honey, three tins of herbal tea, two spice kits for making festive drinks, and a jar of flower sprinkles. The keepsake box of two packs of playing cards are also available separately for £36, while a box of chocolate covered fruit in collaboration with Compartes will set buyers back £56. The posts about the new collection raked up thousands of likes from fans eager to get their hands on the Christmas items. However, the collection is only available for delivery in the United States. Meghan’s brand was established in California, where it still houses its operations, and since its inception last year, has only been available for US fans. For several months, fans on social media have pleaded for As Ever to start shipping internationally to no avail. Many believed that when Meghan relocated back to the UK just weeks ago, that her brand would then be available to purchase for fans in her husband Harry’s home country. However, there has yet to be any updates to when or if As Ever will be available for UK fans, despite Meghan, Harry and their children Archie and Lilibet now residing in Britain on an ‘extended stay’.
