Koumas is floored by Dias and then we see a shoving match take shape after the whistle as the Reds want the ball back quickly! Wirtz takes the corner from the left and Nunes heads out from the near post. Wirtz is then penalised as he presses hard to get the ball back. The resulting Liverpool set-piece from the right is ultimately wasted, but the Reds come again. Barcola is found on the left, jinks and drives, before his pass inside is deflected out for a corner by a back-tracking Anderson. Guehi is harried relentlessly by Koumas, enough to see the England defender fall on the ball on his own byline. He's penalised for handball, while a dissenting Araujo is booked for waving an imaginary yellow card. City gradually push out of their half for the first time now, as Anderson strides through the centre. A ball is pinged towards Haaland, but Jacquet mops up well. Araujo is the target down the right as Van Dijk tries to lift a cute ball over. Alas, it's just too far for the Uruguayan. City take on possession at the back from the restart, yet every touch is greeted with noise. This'll be a real test of nerves for Maresca's men.
